Thule

Note: This is the tutorial Island Thule.
The tutorial takes about 2 hours to complete at a normal pace. While you will find terminals and dialog options to skip the tutorial; you will miss out on tools and experience.

Note: Before you start exploring you might want to check out two things first:
1. Change your GUI (graphical user interface) and your shortcuts
2. Think about having a mentor (graduating mentoring gives a very nice gift!)

Maintenance man

Talk to Mr. Yoshida, it is the first NPC you will see and select the dialog option
"I am ready to work and earn that transport."
 Then proceed to Jimmy; who is just ahead and to your right, inside a fenced area.

Limited Connectivity

Jimmy will give you the task to look for something causing the communication problems inside the base. Go to the right side of the gate you came through earlier. You will see a cut cable.
Then report back to Jimmy

Pest Eradication

Jimmy will ask you to kill 3 Pygmy Chompers. Accept this mission.
Reward upon accepting: 40PEC universal ammo
Go forwards and look for red dots on your radar. These represent mobs. Kill 3 of these Chompers and report back

Power Struggle

Jimmy will ask if you to replace a turret battery.
Reward upon accepting: Valkyrie T1 (L) vehicle and 10PEC worth of refined oil.

A message from Yoshida

After  replacing the battery Mr. Yoshida will call you and ask you to report to Paul Reinhardt.
Just follow the waypoint on your radar, or open your map.

Unfinished Business

When talking to Paul Reinhardt he will ask you to locate the oil rig, operate it and return with the sample. Be aware that it very hard to drive your vehicle on the frozen lake.

Follow the way-points to Camp Amundsen and go inside the building to talk to Lauren Lord.

Analyzing The Sample

Lauren will give you two hides to sell and asks for 100 synthetic ME in return. which nets you a profit of 1pec. You should see the PED balance on the screen below your health-bar change to 0.01PED
Rewards upon trading: 1PEC

Note: PED is short for Project Entropia Dollar; PEC stands Project Entropia Cent.
100PEC=1PED.
History Lesson: Project Entropia was the former name of Entropia.

Another Message From Yoshida

Yoshida contacts you again and asks you to go the supply pod.
Follow the waypoints there and upon arriving take the mining equipment
Rewards upon taking gear:

• 16 Survey Probes
• 1000 Weapon Cells
• Increase in Geology Skill

Equip the Rookie Finder and select both icons on it's interface (the left one stands for ore searching, the middle one stands for enmatter searching). The right one is grayed out and stands for treasure searching, wich is not available on planet Calypso.
Then find an open spot and launch your first probes. Then you want to run 100m away and drop your second one. This is because your finder has a ~50m radius.

If you find a resource, a claim marker will pop up; equip your extractor, aim it at the marker and extract the resource.

After mining, follow the way-points towards Scot's Ridge and talk to rusty.

Signals, Away!

Take the stairs up the radar tower and talk to Amir to send the information.
Rewards upon completion:  increase in Laser Weaponry Technology Skill

Shooting Star

After climbing down from the tower, talk to Rusty again to start the next mission.
He wants you to investigate the crash site and will give you some new weapons upon accepting.
Go to the area of the crash site.
Rewards upon accepting:

2K Explosive Projectiles
Sollomate Rubio (L) riffle

Inspect-A-Gadget

Search for the Flight recorder. It is the red bleeping thing on the ground. Interact with it.
Reward upon completing: increase in Courage Skill

Follow the waypoints and interact with the device the Dead Crew member is holding

The Grand Finale

Locate the robot structure, up the river near the waterfalls and look for the explosives on the back.
Interact with the explosives to arm them and watch the thing blow up.

Follow the way-points to Helios Space base and go down into the hangar.

A New Beginning

Talk to Lieutenant Smith to leave the tutorial island Thule.

Note: you can return to Thule until you reach level 5 in any profession.
After that the only way to reach Thule is having a mentor skill of at least 2.
The teleporter to Thule is located on the pier at Port Atlantis.
